C MAJOR/A MINOR SCALE (**** ****)

Now we look at the same C major scale that is laid out across multiple strings. We will also start looking at our first minor scale, A minor. The C major and A minor scale use the exact same notes, they just have a different root note. There are three steps to practising our scales. Step1 – play the open scale. Step2 – play the scale in 12th position. Step3 – play the scale shape down one fret at a time down the A string. Step4 – Play random keys lick D major, B minor etc.
