SCALES IN BLUES

In blues music, we use minor scales. However, they’re not regular minor scales, they are five note or pentatonic minor scales. Notice how the second scale is similar to the first, but has fewer notes in it. We can also add what’s called a blue note to the pentatonic minor scale, to get what’s referred to as the blues scale.
